Challenge

An offshore project for TengizChevrOil at the Caspian Sea needed 1,360 tonnes of special-grade steel, with waterways frozen in the winter season.

Approach

YEKE arranged overland logistics by coach from Turkey to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to bypass the frozen waterways.

Outcome

The special-grade steel was delivered for the offshore project despite the winter freeze.
