SUBMERSIBLE PONTOON PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY
Latina Pictures needed 7 modular pontoons with a ballast system in Malta for filming the German TV series Das Boot, on a schedule where the pontoons had to arrive ready for a specific production window rather than whenever production happened to be convenient. Film-set floating structures carry requirements beyond a standard commercial pontoon: stability and safety for cast and crew, and trim that can be adjusted through the ballast system to match what the shoot needed on camera.
YEKE Marine produced all 7 modular pontoons in Türkiye and shipped them to Malta, delivering the complete set within 6 weeks so the production's shooting schedule was not held up waiting on equipment.
The project stands alongside YEKE's other work for film and TV productions as an example of marine equipment engineering delivered to an entertainment industry timeline rather than a standard commercial one.
YEKE Marine produced all 7 units in Türkiye, then shipped the complete set to Malta.
So trim could be adjusted to match what the Das Boot production needed on camera, a requirement specific to a film-set floating structure rather than a standard commercial pontoon.
